In Turin, Carlo (74), a man with an enigmatic past, lives with Alice (27), his young and determined girlfriend, an aspiring horror film actress. Their apparently solid relationship is tested by tensions with Alice's upper-class family, Carlo's financial problems and a disturbing darkness that seems to resurface from his past.
